The long "S" shape is buttonhole over padding. The circle and paisley shapes below it were intended to have the centers cut out. However, after I cut the first one, I realized that this wasn't going to work well.
The paisley shape on the far right has thread woven through the buttonhole, using the spokes as the weft. The circle next to it is a buttonhole cup.
Finally, at the bottom I pulled a couple of threads, and worked a few buttonhole bars in white.
I stopped work on this. This was badly planned, and absolutely the wrong fabric for cutwork. Poor planning on my part.
